About the Course​​

This re-certification training is part of the Synology Intensive Training programme. You will have full access to the latest course materials from the regular DSM Architect course. The session covers the most important updates and new features introduced to Synology’s NAS operating system over the past two years. By successfully completing the re-certification exam, your DSM Architect certification will be extended for another two years.

How does the whole thing work?​​

This is a live, instructor-led training session. Key topics and important updates will be presented in a compact format with numerous live demos. While hands-on exercises – as you know them from our regular SIT courses – are not possible in this format, the session offers the opportunity to ask follow-up questions and exchange knowledge with other professionals and partners. Depending on the available time, selected topics from the regular training may be explored in greater depth. You’ll have the option to take the re-certification exam right after the session or within the following few days, if you prefer to take some extra time to prepare.

Notes on the Re-certification Exam:
Requirements
  • For re-certification, the participant must have successfully completed the underlying certification.
    For example, to re-certify as 'DSM Architect', the person must have already successfully completed the 'DSM Architect' course (Typically, this should not be more than two years ago).
  • If no recertification dates are offered in the quarter when the certification expires, Synology typically accepts extended deadlines.
Re-certification Procedure
  • The re-cert exam can be taken immediately after the event online. However, you will have a few days to fully prepare.
  • The exam is similar in duration and content to the regular certification exam, but you will need to achieve a slightly higher score!
  • The re-cert training will cover only the most important updates. However, you will receive the updated and complete course materials.
  • If you have any doubts whether you master all the topics adequately and whether you will achieve the required score, we advise taking a regular SIT course instead of the re-cert training.
  • Our trainers will explain the procedure and modalities in detail. If you pass the exam, you can download the certificate right away.
  • Please note that the certificate will again have a limited validity.
