About the Course
This course is part of the ‘Synology Intensive Training’ programme. In this course, you will explore the diverse application possibilities offered by Synology Surveillance Station. You will have access to a comprehensive hardware lab featuring a wide range of devices for testing and hands-on exercises. In addition to Synology IP cameras and AI-based NVRs from the DVA series, you will also work with cameras from third-party manufacturers and other security-related components — ranging from I/O modules and video intercom or access control systems to IP audio solutions for emergency announcements. By successfully passing the online certification test after the training, you will earn the official ‘Synology Backup Architect’ certification. .
You will gain a solid understanding of the core principles and configuration options of Synology Surveillance Station, enabling you to implement complex video surveillance projects. You will learn how to optimise system performance and make use of advanced camera features. Through extensive hands-on testing, you’ll work with the built-in video analytics of Synology IP cameras and Deep Learning NVRs, allowing you to implement reliable face, people, vehicle, and intrusion detection, as well as people counting. In the next stage, you’ll explore advanced surveillance and investigation features, along with practical solutions for retail and hospitality — such as POS system integration. You’ll also learn how to manage larger projects efficiently using Synology CMS, while improving the resilience and fault tolerance of your surveillance infrastructure. Other key topics include user privilege management and data protection, such as implementing the four-eyes principle. Finally, the course demonstrates flexible integration options for third-party smart home systems within Surveillance Station. .

How does the whole thing work?
This is a hands-on training with plenty of practical exercises conducted directly on the actual devices. During the live session, you will have remote access to a fully featured virtual desktop, from which you can connect to our hardware lab. This allows you to easily follow along with our demonstrations and hands-on exercises. For more extensive exercises, we will split into small teams, where you can collaborate via desktop sharing, observe each other’s work, and support one another. These sessions also provide a great opportunity to exchange knowledge with other business users and Synology partners. Of course, your trainer will be available throughout the entire live session to assist you whenever needed. .

| Zertifizierung: | Die Prüfung kann unmittelbar nach der Veranstaltung online absolviert werden. Sie haben jeweils einige Tage dafür Zeit. Unsere Trainer werden Ihnen den Ablauf und die Modalitäten ausführlich erläutern. Alle Schulungsunterlagen können genutzt werden. Bei bestandener Prüfung können Sie Ihr Zertifikat sofort herunterladen. Außerdem erhalten Sie Zugriff auf ein Logo, mit dem Sie Ihre Zertifizierung z.B. in E-Mail-Signaturen oder Social Media dokumentieren können. |
| Re-Zertifizierung | Bitte beachten Sie, dass das Zertifikat üblicherweise eine begrenzte Gültigkeit aufweist, so dass Sie sich in regelmäßigen Intervallen (z.B. nach zwei Jahren) einer Rezertifizierung unterziehen müssen.
